ICAS is a registered chapter of the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (founded 1984, headquartered in Chennai), based at Purushottamanand Ashram in Hasanganj, Lucknow. We teach two courses — Jyotish Praveena and Jyotish Visharada — both properly, rather than many things loosely.

A kundli divides a life into twelve houses, each preparing the reading of the next. Our two courses follow the same logic: Jyotish Praveena lays the foundation — the zodiac, the planets, the houses, how to actually read a chart. Jyotish Visharada builds on it — dasha systems, divisional charts, and structured prediction.
Both are taught by our faculty team, led by centre coordinator Shri Markandeya Shukla, either online over live sessions or in person at the Ashram — the syllabus and certification are identical either way.
ICAS at Purushottamanand Ashram is led by centre coordinator Shri Markandeya Shukla, alongside a small faculty team teaching Jyotish Praveena and Jyotish Visharada across our online and in-person batches. Students get a consistent, familiar group of instructors from their first class through certification — not a rotating roster of strangers.
Classes run in both English and Hindi, with course material and examinations available in either medium depending on what a batch needs.
Meet the Full Team Ask a QuestionThis chapter follows the syllabus, examination standards, and code of conduct set by the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (Regd.), headquartered in Chennai. Certificates are issued and signed under the Council's national authority, not printed locally.
Every student starts with a short conversation with our faculty team about where they are and where they want to get to — not a sales call, a placement conversation.
